Tanyer Sönmezer

After being graduated from Mechanical Engineering Department of Middle East Technical University, Sönmezer followed a Master Degree program on sales and marketing in Duplo Business School (London UK). During his MBA in Gazi University on product management and marketing, he was specialized on “Change Management in Commercial Organizations”.He has completed “Making Corporate Boards More Effective” executive education program in Harvard Business School in (Boston USA)
After having worked in the sales department of British automation company Duplo International, Tanyer Sönmezer was employed by the international consultancy company Agriconsult as project coordinator in the “Long Term Cereal Production Planning in Turkey” project.
Then, Tanyer Sönmezer was transferred to Michelin, one of the World’s tyre industry giants, as Commercial and Technical Consultant. While he continued his duty as Job Development Manager, he was charged with the responsibility of new functional matrix organization development. Later, as Marketing Manager he established multiple brand and multiple distribution channel strategies. He was then promoted to General Sales Director position and together with his team he ensured that the products under his responsibility become market leader.
Sönmezer was transferred from Michelin to Nicholson International, the international brain hunter and human resources management consultancy company, and worked there as General Manager.
Today he is the managing director and board member of Management Centre Turkey, and he is actively non executive member of several leading organizations. Tanyer Sönmezer’s specialization subjects are:
